Acupuncture

Acupuncture is more than just inserting needles along the meridian flow of the body. The oriental medicine's complex diagnostic method is a consideration of the person as a whole, not just isolated symptoms.

The main objectives of acupuncture treatments are to relieve pain and other symptoms, strengthen the immune system, and to balance, harmonize and integrate the functions of the interal organs with each other, making for a healthy person, rather than a collection of fragmented disharmonious parts.

Acupuncture addresses and seeks to find the root or cause of the problems rather than treating the symptoms.

As a cosmetic acupuncturist, Hyongoak Du is able to utilize the meridians that either begin or end at the face to stimulate and balance the energy and at the same time to treat the underlying factors that contribute to the aging process. This involves the insertion of needles into areas on the face, ears, hands, legs and torso.

Also inserted into the energy pathways are meridians to improve the flow of qi(energy). As the movemenet of energy improves, a greater amount of energy and bloood are circulated to the face nourishing, hidrating, toning and deminishing the appearance of wrinkles.
